"Better than I was, more than I am, and all of this happened by taking your hand"

I simply love weddings, you get to meet your whole family and trust me an Indian family is huge. It's the time when all the cousins meet again, you get to dress up and the best part - the three day hectic but amazingly fun functions. Here is a small inspiration board for Indian weddings.
I have put up some ideas which might help you, your friend, your sister or cousin who is getting married.

The mehendi and haldi decor can be achieved on your terrace or in the garden of the venue that you have booked. As for the swing, well I just attended my best friend's wedding who happens to be a Tamilian. This swing will be perfect for the ceremony. As for all the North Indians, I think the flower gates will be perfect to lead to the stage where bride and the groom are seated.

As for wedding cakes, I am bored of seing the normal tier cakes. Well you can order a cake which looks this gorgeous and delicious.

As for photography I think the bride with the veil is one picture which every bride should have. As for the bride waiting for the baraat to arrive is another beautiful capture.

I think that mehendi is a stunning piece of art and looks beautiful on everyone no matter how simple or elaborate.

Since weddings are full of fun, emotions running high and togetherness, you should incorporate a few fun things to do which will make you smile when the whole thing is over. For starters here are a few things:
  • Add a hashtag to your wedding (you can mention it on the cards or on your social networking pages) like in the picture above so that whoever clicks a picture can add the hashtag and later all you need to do is click on the hashtag and you or anyone part of the wedding will have a bank full of memories and pictures.

  • You can put up a frame and get all the guests to click crazy and fun pictures.

  • You can keep a small notepad on the days of the sangeet, haldi or mehendi and tell your guests to drop a note saying something or anything about the two of you. It will add a personal touch to your wedding.

  • You can also make a photo booth where guests can get their pictures clicked from a polaroid camera and add a note at the end. You can hang these pictures to a string right next to the photobooth.

Here are small tit bits that you can incorporate for your big day and make it your dream wedding. Hope you liked the suggestions. Do let me know what you think of it.
Much Love
