Self expression has been there for centuries and it has always come out through creative mediums like paintings, poems, photography, theatre, music, art and design. Self expression is a very powerful tool and if expressed in a proper manner it can create history, start a revolution and the biggest of all - bring change. People like Banksy, Hony from Humans of New york, A.R Rahman, Mario Testino well the list goes on, have inspired people to express themselves in a way which will make a person stop and think.
Graffiti is a very strong medium of self expression. It goes back to the time of the Berlin wall to Banksy. I had been searching for such a place to shoot for quite some time now and I found the perfect spot at Hauz Khaz village in Delhi. Its a place where people generally park their vehicals but nevertheless, it has its own strong aura due to the graffiti that covers its walls.
Some may choose to call it vandalism and for some its self expression. What is your pick??
